Colin Honderd finished runner-up in their respective weight classes and guided the Rams to a strong team performance at Saturday's MSOE Invitational.

Brent Hamm's Rams fielded seven total placewinners and took third in the 17-team field with 110 points, 28 ahead of fourth-place Central. Augsburg won the team title with 149.5 points, followed by UW-Eau Claire with 127.

Perrigon (11-6) scored a technical fall and three decisions during his 4-1 day, which ended with an 18-0 setback to Augsburg's fourth-ranked Tyler Shilson in the 157-pound championship match. Perrigon beat Augsburg's Kaden Reetz in the semifinals, 5-3.

Honderd (15-3) put on a pinning clinic on his path to the 184-pound final, winning his first four matches by fall. Of the senior's 15 wins this season, 12 have ended via pin. Honderd lost 16-0 to Augsburg's eighth-ranked Nick Rogge in the title bout.

Freshman
Cael McLaren (14-5) also advanced to the semifinals at 184 and capped a 5-1 day with a 10-9 decision over UW-Platteville's Jacob Sklenar in the third-place match. McLaren recorded two pins and a major decision.

The Rams received a third-place effort from freshman Grant Harbour (10-5) at 141. Harbour went 6-1 with two falls and a major decision. He claimed third place by forfeit.

Cornell's 10th-ranked 165-pounder
Casey Allen (11-5) finished 4-2 for fifth place. He started his tournament with three consecutive first-period pins before dropping a 4-0 semifinal decision to UW-Platteville's seventh-ranked Nathan Wynsma.

Landon Card (10-10) took sixth at 149 with a 3-3 mark.
Dahson DeJong (12-9) was sixth at 174, going 4-3.

The Rams head to Dubuque Friday for a 7 p.m. dual against No. 1 nationally-ranked Loras.
