Box Score LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Cornell's women's tennis team concluded regular-season play Saturday with a 9-0 loss on the road to Midwest Conference North Division leader Lake Forest.
Lake Forest (5-1 overall, 3-0 North) had its way against the Rams (4-9, 0-4) in the teams' second meeting in eight days.
The Foresters posted 8-0 shutouts in matches at No. 1 and 2 doubles, and scored an 8-2 win over Cornell's Makayla Johnson (FR/Westmont, Ill.) and Ashley Mink (FR/Akron, Ohio) at No. 3.
Cornell's No. 2 singles player Emmaline Fievet (JR/Bend, Ore.) battled in a 6-2, 7-5 loss to MJ Campos. Liv Aractingi (SO/Kansas City, Mo.) dropped a 6-0, 6-3 match at No. 1 singles. Mink fell 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 6 singles slot.
Lake Forest lost only two total games in matches at No. 3-5 singles.
Coming up – The Rams will compete Thursday in an MWC North Division semifinal dual. The opponent, time and location have yet to be determined.
