PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – UW-Platteville jumped ahead early in both softball games Sunday and held off the Rams late for a 7-2, 7-4 nonconference sweep at Pioneer Stadium.

The Rams (2-13) got behind 5-0 after two innings in the opener. Freshman pitcher Eva Stewart came on in relief and did not surrender an earned run over the final four innings.

Cornell wound up stranding two runners in the sixth and left nine on base for the game.

The Rams received two hits apiece from Coleman, Olivia Richards and Bowman. Puck doubled home two runs. Babcock singled to extend her hitting streak to five games.
