MOUNT VERNON – Cornell's women's tennis program paid tribute to seniors
Emmaline Fievet and
Amanda Dragon in their final collegiate matches Sunday inside the Small Sport Center Arena.
The Rams fell 9-0 to Central in the season finale, bringing their overall dual mark to 7-14.
Fievet and Dragon combined for 125 career victories with the Rams, 40 coming this campaign.
No. 1 singles player Fievet dropped a 1-6, 6-3, 10-6 three-set battle with Alyssa Lewton. At No. 2, Cornell's
Makayla Johnson also lost a tightly-contested match by scores of 6-1, 4-6, 15-13. Dragon fell 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 4 singles spot.
Central (12-11) earned identical 8-2 wins in all three doubles matches.
