MOUNT VERNON – Cornell freshman libero Ella Becker and senior middle blocker Rory Light were honored on the All-Tournament Team this past weekend at Bethel's Region IX Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.
 
The Rams finished 2-1 against three NCAA Division III national votes-getters, highlighted by Saturday's 3-0 sweeps over Wartburg and St. Olaf.
 
Becker led all players in the tournament with 62 digs, averaging 6.2 per set. The first-year defensive specialist accounted for a season-high 28 digs in a 3-1 loss to host Bethel on Friday.
 
Light registered 36 kills (3.6 kps) and a .359 attack percentage in the three matches. She also totaled 14 blocks (1.4 bps). Light hit .440 with 13 kills against Wartburg, followed by .345 hitting and 14 kills against St. Olaf.
 
A winner of four of its last five matches, Cornell (6-4) begins Midwest Conference play at 7 p.m. Friday against Knox in Galesburg, Ill.
