MOUNT VERNON – The Cornell women's basketball team won its' fourth conference game of the year to sit firmly in second place of the Midwest Conference after a 66-54 win over Lake Forest on Saturday.
Just behind Ripon (8-6, 5-0 MWC) in the MWC standings, the Rams (6-7, 4-1 MWC) took care of the Foresters (2-11, 1-4 MWC) at home behind a career performance from
Heidi Jorgensen to take sole possession of second place.
The freshman guard from Manti, Utah set a new career-high after dropping 18 points in 32 minutes of play. She made four of the Rams' nine three pointers while going six of eight from the free throw line.
As a team, the Rams caused 27 turnovers while collecting 10 steals. Senior
Kali March finished with four of those steals while collecting nine points.
The Rams now have six consecutive wins over the Foresters.
