LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lake Forest clinched the Midwest Conference regular-season title with Saturday's 4-0 shutout of the Rams in men's soccer action at Mohr Field.
Cornell battled the Foresters (8-7-3 overall, 7-0-1 MWC) for 31 scoreless minutes to start the contest before the home team swung momentum.
Lake Forest struck twice late in the first half to take a 2-0 lead at intermission. The Foresters added insurance goals in the 58th and 60th minute to provide the final margin.

Jeremy Spina went the distance in net and finished with six saves. The Foresters fired 25 total shots.
The Rams closed the season at 4-12-1 overall, 2-5-1 in the MWC.
