MOUNT VERNON - Cornell's volleyball team clinched a Midwest Conference Tournament berth with Saturday's 25-19, 25-22, 25-16 sweep over Lawrence on Saturday's Senior Day inside the Small Athletic and Wellness Center.

The Rams (15-11 overall, 6-0 MWC) won their eighth straight match and secured an MWC postseason berth for the 12th year in a row.

Cornell's senior class of
Clare Green,
Ilah Perez-Johnson, and
Kiana Manson was honored before the match and then celebrated the group's 80th win over four seasons.

Manson led the Rams with 11 kills on .429 hitting.
Mia Tubbs hit a blistering .471 for the match, chipping in 9 kills and 2 blocks. Green dished out 29 assists with an ace.
Ella Becker led the Rams with 22 digs.

Margaret Hahnke paced Lawrence (10-19, 3-4 MWC) with 16 kills and 3 aces.

The victory sets up a showdown of MWC unbeatens Wednesday in Mount Vernon between Grinnell (6-0) and Cornell. First serve is 7 p.m.
