Cornell concludes season at MWC co-champion Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Cornell's women saw their season end Saturday in a 7-0 soccer setback to Midwest Conference co-champion Lake Forest at Farwell Field.
 
Goalkeeper Sabrina Ibanez collected nine saves in a complete-game effort, which saw the Foresters (12-2-3 overall, 7-0-1 MWC) convert three penalty kicks in the match.
 
Lake Forest's first PK opened the scoring at the 14-minute mark. The Foresters added their second score late in the first half and then pulled away with five goals after intermission.
 
First-year Eva Plathe accounted for Cornell's three shots on goal. Gwen Westervelt attempted one shot.
 
The young Rams finished the campaign at 2-13-1 overall, 1-6-1 in the MWC under first-year head coach Sarah Campbell.
