Trent Schneider's Rams have earned the No. 3 seed in the
Midwest Conference Women's Tennis Team Automatic Qualifying Tournament.
The Rams qualified for the MWC Team Tournament this past fall season, for the sixth time in the past eight years. No. 3 seed Cornell (4-2 MWC) faces No. 2 seed Lake Forest (5-1 MWC) in a semifinal at 12 p.m. Saturday at Hitters SportsPlex in Middleton, Wis.
Saturday's first semifinal pits No. 1 Grinnell (6-0) against No. 4 Illinois College (3-3) at 9 a.m. The championship dual will be held one hour after the second semifinal Saturday afternoon with an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament on the line.
The Rams completed the regular season finishing 13-11 overall, good for the most dual wins in a season since 2017 (18). They fell 9-0 to Lake Forest in their previous matchup on September 9.
