MIDDLETON, Wis. – Third-seeded Cornell dropped a 5-0 decision to Lake Forest Saturday afternoon in the semifinal of the Midwest Conference Women's Tennis Team Tournament at Hitters SportsPlex.
 
The Rams, making their sixth postseason appearance in the past eight years, concluded the 2023-2024 dual season with a 13-12 record. 
 
Top-seeded Grinnell (9-0) moves on to the MWC championship match Friday afternoon to play for an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
 
Cornell's No. 1 pair of Mac Graves/Makayla Johnson hung tough at No. 1, dropping an 8-4 decision. No. 2 tandem Ashley Mink/Tansy Graves fell 8-2. 
 
In the two completed singles matches, Audrey Small and Isabella Wallin both fell, 6-4 6-0 and 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 3 and No. 4 position. Mac Graves was the lone Ram to win the first set over her opponent at No. 2 when the meet was clinched. 

Top-seeded Grinnell defeated Lake Forest 5-1 in the championship match, earning the automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
