APPLETON, WI. – Cornell women's soccer team traveled to Appleton on Saturday to face a talented Lawrence squad at The Banta Bowl. The Rams played strong defense throughout the game before falling 4-0 to the Vikings.

Sabrina Ibanez worked hard in the net picking up nine saves on 13 Vikings shots on goal.
Cornell (2-9 overall, 0-2 MWC) gave up two goals in each half to the Vikings (4-3-5 overall, 2-0-1 MWC). The Vikings scored their second goal of the first half at the 27:44 mark. The Rams then held Lawrence scoreless for the next 45 minutes of play before the Vikings picked up two goals in a five-minute stretch late in the second half.
Cornell finished with three shots for the game, one each by
Eva Plathe,
Gracie Lambrecht and
Macky Larkin with the lone shot on goal.
Coming up – The Rams return home on Wednesday to face Grinnell at Cornell Soccer Field. Game time is 4 p.m.
