MADISON, Wis. – Cornell's men's wrestling team opened the new season against a tough opponent Saturday night, dropping a 39-7 dual meet to fifth-ranked UW-La Crosse at UW Field House.
 
Cornell 133-pounder 
Eli Sneed kicked off his senior campaign on a strong note with a 4-1 decision over ninth-ranked Wyatt Magolski.
 
The Rams earned bonus points at 157 from 
AJ Parrish, who scored a 9-0 major decision over Sedeeq AlObaidi. That brought Cornell within 15-7 at the halfway point of the meet.
 
UW-La Crosse swept the final five matches of the night, posting bonus points in all of them. The Eagles finished with four pins and three major decisions.
 
Coming up – The Rams compete at the Millikin Open next Saturday, Nov. 8 in Decatur, Ill.
