MOUNT VERNON – Cornell has placed five basketball student-athletes on the
2024-25 NCAA Division III Academic All-District Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Representing Cornell's women's team are junior guard
Tenley Cavanagh (business finance) and sophomore guards
Kiley Edris (marketing) and
Heidi Jorgensen (pre-physical therapy).
On the men's side, senior guards
Jayden Meeker (engineering) and
Connor Barnett (biochemistry and molecular biology) earned the distinction. Meeker, a first team all-Midwest Conference performer, gained CSC academic all-district honors for the third year in a row.
The CSC Academic All-America Teams will be announced April 15-16.
To be eligible for academic all-district recognition, the nominee must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's contests OR started at least 66 percent of the institution's contests.
