Mac Graves broke another all-time program record for the second straight weekend after her doubles win against Coe College on Friday evening. The Rams fell to the Kohawks in a Bremner Cup matchup 6-1 at the Clark Racquet Center.
Graves established a new program bench mark with her 52nd victory this season, pairing with sister
Tansy Graves for a 6-2 triumph at No. 1 doubles against Coe. She improved her overall record in 2024-2025 to 52-12, overtaking Gabriella Ferro (50 wins in 2014-2015) for No. 1 on Cornell's all-time list.
Cornell dropped the other two doubles matches to the Kohawks.
Jenna Benkufsky and
Isabella Wallin fell 6-1 at No. 2, while
Audrey Small and
Alyssa Flynn dropped a close 6-4 decision at No. 3. After giving up one team point in doubles, the Rams battled tough in all the singles flights.
Mac Graves provided the lone point for Cornell, defeating Coe's Addison Leasure 7-5 6-2 at No. 2.
Tansy Graves at No 1. (6-3 6-0), Small at No. 3 (6-4 6-0), Flynn at No. 4 (6-4 6-2), Wallin at No. 5 (6-1 6-1) and Benkufsky at No. 6 (6-1 6-2) all fell in their singles bouts.
The Rams finish the regular season at 18-8, tying for the most dual wins in a season since 2016. Coe now leads the Bremner Cup series 7-6.
Coming up – Cornell travels to the MWC Team Tournament on May 3rd, as the No. 3 seed to face off against No. 2 seed Lake Forest in the semi-finals. First serve is set for 12pm in Middleton, WI.
