First-teamer Jeffery heads 6 All-NACC women's selections

MOUNT VERNON – Six Cornell women's lacrosse players have been recognized with postseason honors in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, headlined by first team junior defender Ilsa Jeffery.

Jeffery was among three defenders selected to the All-NACC First Team. She also earned first team accolades last season, in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference.

Senior attacker Cece Zanoni, senior midfielder Meg Lewis and junior goalie Hannah Miech represented Cornell on the All-NACC Second Team. Zanoni and Lewis are both three-time all-conference picks, and repeat first team honorees.

The Rams landed a pair of honorable mention selections in junior attacker Sabrina Ibanez and junior midfielder Brynn Miroslavich. Both made second team in the MLC last year.

Jeffery was the staple of Cornell's defense, breaking India Smith's 2024 school record for caused turnovers in a season with a NACC-best 54. She led the league with 3.38 caused turnovers per game, which rank No. 7 nationally.

Jeffery finished third in the NACC with 67 ground balls, the fourth-highest season total ever by a Ram. She stands No. 2 on Cornell's career list for caused turnovers (103) and No. 5 in ground balls (148).

Zanoni led Cornell in scoring for the third consecutive season. The four-year starter accumulated 50 goals and broke her own single-season program record with 29 assists, fourth-most in the NACC. Zanoni set single-game records with 13 points and seven assists in a win at Lawrence April 2.

Zanoni left her mark on the program with nine career records, including 249 points, 182 goals and 67 assists.

Lewis posted a team-best 47 draw controls and ranked seventh in the NACC at 2.94 per game. She is Cornell's all-time leader with 217 draw controls. Lewis contributed 34 ground balls and 24 points this spring.

Lewis started all 66 matches over her career, also a new program record.

Miech ranked third among NACC goalies with a .479 save percentage and was fourth in goals against average (10.06). She topped the 100-saves mark for the third consecutive year, boosting her program-record career total to 329. Miech is also Cornell's all-time leader for most wins by a goalie with 28.

Ibanez showed her versatility with 24 goals, 17 assists, 44 draw controls and 29 ground balls. She climbed to No. 2 on Cornell's career list for assists with 36.

Miroslavich finished second on the team with 45 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers. She netted 20 goals.

As first-year NACC members, coach Meredith Meier's Rams placed fourth in the regular season at 5-4 and were awarded their first-ever home playoff game, falling 11-10 in the quarterfinals to MSOE. Cornell finished 7-9 overall.
