WHEATON, Ill. – Sophomore
Isaac Morris clocked a personal-best 8K time Saturday to pace Cornell's men's cross country team at Wheaton's Gil Dodds Invitational.
Morris finished 46th in a large competitive field of 251 runners at St. James Park. He covered the trail in 27:13 in his second race of the fall.
Junior
Jaxon Barnes shaved more than one minute off last week's 8K time, crossing 58th overall in 27:32. The next scores for the Rams came from
Caleb Long in 108th (28:49),
Caden Edwards in 119th (29:08) and Tony Zamudio in 129th (29:17).
Grant Anderson placed 130th in 29:18. The Rams had 13 runners compete in the meet.
Cornell took 10th in the 20-team field with 308 points. No. 19 nationally-ranked Chicago was crowned team champion with 20 points.
Jacob Curulewski of Carthage won the individual race in 24:41.
