NORTHFIELD, Minn. –
Lidia Dahlman represented Cornell's No. 6 regionally-ranked women's cross country team well in a stacked field of the Navy Championship Division Saturday at the Running of the Cows, hosted by Carleton College.
The Cornell junior placed 30th out of 324 finishers with a 6K time of 22:06. Dahlman was only four seconds outside the Top 20 in a race that featured 35 of the top teams in NCAA Division III.
The Rams took 29th in the team race with 762 points. No. 2 nationally-ranked Williams posted a winning score of 79.
Milar Little crossed 142nd in 23:18, followed by
Gretchyn Fairlie in 181st (23:36),
Carley Seeley in 280th (24:44) and
Zoe Peesel in 281st (24:44) to complete Cornell's scoring five.
Cornell also had several runners compete in the Maize Division, where the Rams finished 30th with 892 points. First-year
Ruby Mercer placed 201st out of 388 finishers to pace Cornell. She clocked a 6K mark of 26:02.
Sophie Stumbo (243rd in 26:30),
Josie Schenk (275th in 27:01),
Zoe Scott (321st in 28:05) and
Murray Page (337th in 28:50) also scored for the Rams.
