Boston Jacobs' 2025-26 Cornell women's wrestling team landed the program's first two
NCAA Scholar All-Americans, as selected by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).
Sophomore 138-pounder
Averi Burke (kinesiology) and freshman 160-pounder
Sidney Zimmerman (environmental science and sustainability) earned the distinction for combined excellence on the mat and in the classroom.
To be eligible, the student-athlete must meet one of the following criteria: 1. compete in at least 10 matches and hold a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, 2. NCAA qualifier and a 3.25 GPA, 3. Place in the Top 8 at the NCAA Championships with a 3.0 GPA.
A total of 540 student-athletes representing 92 institutions were recognized as NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
Burke wrestled 23 matches in her second season in Cornell's lineup. She was among four Rams to compete at the Region V Championships.
Zimmerman posted a 14-19 record in her first collegiate campaign. She led the team with 10 falls.
