TEMPE, Ariz. – Coach
Trent Schneider's Cornell tennis teams have been recognized for academic excellence by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for the 2025-2026 seasons.
Cornell's women and men were both selected as an ITA Division III All-Academic Team. The Rams earned the award by achieving a team grade point average of at least 3.2 over the past academic year. All student-athletes factored into the team GPA.
The Rams were among 178 women's teams honored. There were 147 men's programs cited.
Graduated seniors
Audrey Small,
Ashley Drake, sophomore
Jenna Benkufsky, and freshmen
Annika Dox,
Mirabel Pinkerton and
Meredith Maxwell represent Cornell's women as ITA Scholar-Athletes. Drake is a four-time honoree, Small a three-time honoree. Benkufsky was selected for her second straight year, and Dox, Pinkerton and Maxwell earned their first distinctions.
Cornell's men also field six ITA Scholar-Athletes in junior
Trent Devore, sophomores
Benett Gregor and
Sam Cumicek, along with freshmen
Jack Saunders,
Henry Lambley and
Gavin Collyott. Devore and Cumicek were named honorees for the second time in their careers, while Gregor, Saunders, Lambley and Collyott all earned their first distinctions.
ITA Scholar-Athletes must be listed on the institutional eligibility list and have maintained at least a 3.5 GPA during the past academic year.
