WARRENVILLE, Ill. – Lidia Dahlman's runner-up performance paced Cornell's No. 7 regionally-ranked women to a strong second-place team showing at the Gil Dodds Cross Country Invitational Friday night at St. James Farm Forest Preserve.
 
The Rams landed all five scorers inside the Top 50 and totaled 99 points in the 15-team field. Cornell trailed only No. 7 nationally-ranked Chicago, which turned in a winning score of 19 points.
 
Dahlman, who set a 4K course record in the Sept. 5 opener at Wartburg, was among only two runners to break 22 minutes in Friday's 179-woman field. The junior covered the 6K layout in 21:57, behind only Chicago's Katja Dunayevich (21:39).
 
Dahlman was the only non-Chicago runner among the first 16 finishers.
 
Junior Milar Little was the second Ram to cross, taking 26th in 23:16. Carley Seeley placed 29th (23:20), Gretchyn Fairlie 36th (23:49) and Zoe Peesel 50th (24:29).
 
The next pack of Rams featured three first-year runners in Lily Manzo (61st, 24:53), Hannah Stone (68th, 25:06) and Ruby Mercer (72nd, 25:30).
