MOUNT VERNON – The last time Cornell and Millikin met on the volleyball court was in Holland, Mich., at the 2024 NCAA Tournament, won by Millikin 3-0.
Cornell flipped the script Friday night and swept the Big Blue 25-19, 26-24, 25-23 inside the Small Athletic and Wellness Center.
The Rams won the critical points late in Set 2 and Set 3 to claim their second home sweep in three nights. Cornell improved to 4-7, while Millikin dropped to 8-7.

Kensie Staats recorded her 100th career ace during a key service run late in Set 2 that helped the Rams rally from a 23-19 deficit. Cornell denied the Big Blue set point at 24-23 on a kill by
Ally Olmstead.

Nia Howard ace followed by another Olmstead spike completed Cornell's Set 2 comeback.
The Rams also rallied in Set 3, scoring five of the final six points to finish off Millikin.
Ashlin Nottestad came up big in the final set with six kills. The sophomore had a team-high 11 kills on the night.
Mia Tubbs contributed 10 kills and
Hannah Cantwell had eight on 20 errorless attacks. The Rams outhit the visiting team, .289 to .184.
Grace Tverberg collected 21 assists and eight digs. Staats scooped a match-high 16 digs.
Coming up – Cornell travels to play Simpson at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Indianola.
