Colbert, a standout thrower at the University of Iowa, joined Cornell’s track & field staff for the 2020 season as throwers coach.

Colbert holds Top-10 all-time marks at Iowa in the hammer throw (189-3) and weight throw (55-3.50). She competed in the hammer at the NCAA West Regional her senior season.

A four-year letterwinner with the Hawkeyes, Colbert earned academic All-Big Ten honors each season. She graduated from Iowa in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation and received a certificate in disability studies.

Colbert competed and coached in the Throw for the Road Hammer Club based in her hometown of Troy, Mo. While at Troy Buchanan High School, Colbert was a two-time state placewinner in the shot put and discus. She holds the school record in the shot put, placing fourth at state her senior year.
