Stamp enters his second season on Cornell's softball staff in 2011.
Stamp, a 1999 graduate of Lisbon High School, is currently studying Athletic Turfgrass Management at Kirkwood Community College and expects to complete his degree in December 2010. He has been the primary caregiver of field maintenance at the Mount Vernon Softball Complex, home of the Rams and Mount Vernon High School, since spring 2009.
Stamp earned a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2005 from Central College, where he played football one season. He then served two years on active duty with the United States Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Stamp was a successful multi-sport athlete at Lisbon. He was a four-year all-state pitcher for the Lions and named Big East Conference Most Valuable Player his junior and senior seasons. Stamp earned all-state honors two years in football and was a two-time state qualifier in wrestling. He also competed in track and field two years.
Stamp is the younger brother of Cornell pitching coach Paige Telecky.
