Dabu, a former NCAA Division II player with 104 career starts, joined Cornell’s basketball staff in Spring 2026.
Dabu (pronounced dah-BOO) began her collegiate basketball career as a walk-on at Florida Southern. The Arlington Heights, Ill., native started 26 games her freshman season and helped the Mocs reach the 2022 NCAA Division II Tournament. Dabu earned a scholarship for the next two seasons and served as team captain both years.
Dabu totaled 664 points, 294 rebounds and made 103 3-point goals in 86 games for Florida Southern. She was part of three Sunshine State Conference Tournament appearances.
Dabu played her final collegiate season at Division II Kentucky Wesleyan, which qualified for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament. Dabu was selected team captain and named the team’s Newcomer of the Year.
Dabu earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Kentucky Wesleyan in 2025.
In 2025-26, Dabu was assistant coach at Stevenson (Ill.) High School and also coached the Full Package Athletics AAU program.
A 2021 graduate of Loyola Academy, Dabu was a two-time Conference Defensive Player of the Year and led her prep team to three region championships.
