MOUNT VERNON – Cornell men's lacrosse rallied late in a road matchup with Concordia University Wisconsin where the Rams came up short, 16-9.
Ethan Kupka was the first Ram to score, finding the net early on in the second quarter. Kupka also scored with seconds remaining in the first half.
The Rams (3-6) found themselves down going into the second half but came out strong, out-scoring the Falcons (4-4) for the first time in the third quarter.
The third quarter was filled with action for Kyle Jussila and John Linderman, scoring five goals between the pair. Jussila earned himself a hat trick while also dishing out five assists, two of those being to Linderman.
Thomas Cook and Jackson Kinart also scored in the second half, but Cornell's late rally couldn't be sustained as time ended.
Evan Begner saved 21 shots tonight, going the whole 60 minutes for the Rams.
Coming up- The Rams will travel to Rock Island, Illinois next Wednesday, March 30 for a non-conference game against Augustana College at 7 p.m.
