EUREKA, Ill. – Cornell's men's basketball team went on the road for the first time this season and grinded out a hard-fought 60-54 victory over Eureka Sunday at Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena.
Jayden Meeker delivered 19 points and seven rebounds for the Rams (1-1), who were in a one-possession game with the Red Devils (1-2) with less than three minutes to play.

Zach Ingle jumper and
Brextyn Beard free throw pushed Cornell ahead 57-51. Ingle added another bucket with 1:21 remaining and
Connor Barnett buried two free throws in the final minute to seal the victory.
Ingle finished with 12 points and led the Rams on the glass with eight rebounds.
Julian Cleary was a spark off the bench with 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting and five rebounds.
Newcomer
Dylan Hurley had seven points and five boards.
Jaxson Herring pulled down seven rebounds.
The Rams limited Eureka to 32.7-percent shooting, including 2-of-18 from 3-point range. Cornell owned a 41-32 advantage on the boards.
Cornell trailed 32-31 at halftime in a see-saw contest that witnessed 13 lead changes.
