Charlie Robinson came off Cornell's bench to score a career-high 15 points in Friday's 71-56 men's basketball win over Minnesota Morris at the Buzz Levick Tournament, hosted by Wartburg College.
Robinson highlighted a hot shooting night for the Rams (2-2), draining 5-of-6 shots from 3-point range. He also recorded three steals in only 14 minutes of action.
Cornell connected on 12-of-25 3-point goals for the game.
Dylan Hurley and
Zach Ingle netted 13 points apiece.
Jayden Meeker filled his stat line with 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists. The Rams received nine points and five assists from
Connor Barnett.
The Rams took control of the game with a 16-0 scoring run late in the first half. They led 38-22 at intermission.
Minnesota Morris cut the margin to 46-40 with 11:08 left in the second half. The Rams answered with eight consecutive points – two buckets from Ingle and a three by Hurley – to put the game away.
Coming up – The Rams continue play in the Buzz Levick Tournament at 2 p.m. Saturday against Northwestern.
