BELOIT, Wis. – A women's soccer matchup between a pair of 2022 Midwest Conference Tournament qualifiers went in favor of Beloit, 2-0 over the visiting Rams Saturday in the MWC opener at Strong Field.
Cornell (0-4-1 overall, 0-1 MWC) held the Buccaneers (2-5 overall, 1-0 MWC) scoreless until the 58-minute mark of the second half. Beloit then extended its 1-0 lead with a second goal in the 79th minute.

Sabrina Ibanez recorded six saves in a complete-game effort for the Rams.
Cornell's balanced attack accounted for seven shots, including five after intermission.
Kylie Hard fired two shots, both on goal.
Beloit, picked third in the MWC Preseason Poll, finished with 18 shots and held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.
