Clare Green broke Cornell's career assists record as the Rams went 2-0 at their own volleyball quadrangular Saturday inside the Small Athletic and Wellness Center.
The Rams rallied for a 20-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-18 victory over NCAA votes-getter North Park and then finished the day with a 25-22, 26-24, 23-25, 25-14 triumph over Carthage.
Green made history in Set 2 against Carthage when
Ilah Perez-Johnson hammered home a spike for Green's record-setting 3,927th assist as a Ram. Green, a 2023 AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, passed Hannah Boehmer (2007-10) atop Cornell's all-time list.
Green distributed 71 assists on the day. She boosted her career count to 3,944, which ranks No. 6 in Midwest Conference history.
The Rams (13-11) extended their winning streak to six matches, having won nine of their last 10. The lone loss during the stretch was a five-setter at No. 20 UW-Platteville.
Perez-Johnson hit a blistering .432 with 23 kills to lead Cornell to the comeback win over North Park (11-14). She also had eight digs and two aces in that match.

Mia Tubbs was a force at the net with nine blocks against North Park.
Ally Olmstead added seven blocks,
Carly Puffer six.
Ella Becker (19), Green (14) and
Ella McLaughlin (12) all posted double-digit digs.
The Rams went back-and-forth with Carthage (12-9) in a match that witnessed 36 ties. Cornell put the Firebirds away in the fourth set with a 12-2 match-ending spurt.
Perez-Johnson delivered a double-double with 15 kills and 14 digs. The Rams received nine kills apiece from Tubbs and Olmstead, while Olmstead also had six blocks.
Becker went 17-of-17 from the service line and scooped 22 digs.
Coming up – The first-place Rams (4-0 MWC) return to conference play Friday with a 7 p.m. home match against Lake Forest.
