MOUNT VERNON – Cornell men's soccer team came out looking to upset #13 Lake Forest on Saturday at Cornell Field. The game was 0-0 through the first 82 minutes, as the Rams and Foresters were locked up in a defensive battle. Lake Forest scored two goals late as Cornell (5-8-1, 3-2-1 MWC) fell 2-0.
Lake Forest (15-0, 6-0 MWC) found the net in the 82
nd minute on a goal by Fin Gruver, that proved to be the game winner. Alexis Flores added a goal with 2:30 left in the game to round out the scoring.
Freshman goalkeeper
Jack Massey played the complete game in the net, picking up a season high 12 saves on 14 shots on goal. Massey now has 68 saves for the season.
The Forester held a 14-3 advantage on shots on goal.

Jake Elmore and
Madiou Diallo each took a shot on goal for the Rams.
Lake Forest took 26 shots for the game to Cornell's eight. Elmore took three shots,
Kyriacos Photiou attempted two shots for Cornell.
Erwann Hiernaux, Andrade-Martinez and Diallo each had one shot.
