Behind tough defense, the Rams pick up 1-0 victory over Lawrence

APPLETON, WI – The Rams went on the road Saturday to face Lawrence in Appleton, looking to secure their first conference win of the season. Cornell scored early, then played tough defense the rest of the game to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Vikings at The Banta Bowl.

Cornell (3-7 overall, 1-1 MWC) had four shots on goal to the Vikings (0-7-2 overall, 0-3 MWC) one.  Elmore had three shots on goal and Junior Fox Wight had one.

Goalkeeper Jack Massey played all 90 minutes in the net for Cornell, picking up one save.
