APPLETON, WI – The Rams went on the road Saturday to face Lawrence in Appleton, looking to secure their first conference win of the season. Cornell scored early, then played tough defense the rest of the game to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Vikings at The Banta Bowl.
Sophomore
Jake Elmore put the Rams on the board at the 20:20 mark of the first half on a shot from 15 yards out that skirted by several Viking defenders before settling into the lower left corner of the net. Senior
Antonio Russo handed out the assist on the Elmore goal.
Cornell (3-7 overall, 1-1 MWC) had four shots on goal to the Vikings (0-7-2 overall, 0-3 MWC) one. Elmore had three shots on goal and Junior
Fox Wight had one.

Jack Massey played all 90 minutes in the net for Cornell, picking up one save.
