ROCHESTER, N.Y. –
Hailey Carolan's quest for a fourth career all-America medal came up just short Saturday afternoon in the women's high jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The Cornell junior tied for 10th out of 20 competitors with a height of 5 feet, 5 inches inside Nazareth's Golisano Training Center.
Carolan was among seven competitors to clear the initial two heights (5-3 and 5-5) without a miss. She missed on all three attempts at 5-7.25, which was the Top-8 cutoff for all-America honors.
Carolan qualified with a school-record mark of 5-6.50. The three-time all-American and seven-time Midwest Conference champion placed fourth in her last NCAA indoor appearance in 2023 with a jump of 5-5.25.
Coast Guard's Allie Wildsmith cleared a winning height of 5-9.75. Centre's Serena McNeilly was runner-up (5-8.50).
