4-time All-American Carolan places 6th in NCAA high jump

| By:
GENEVA, Ohio – Cornell junior Hailey Carolan earned a spot on the all-America podium once again at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held at SPIRE Institute.

Carolan placed sixth in the women's high jump Friday to collect her third consecutive all-America outdoor medal in her specialty event.

Now with four career all-America performances, Carolan pulled even with Sam Martinez (2015-16) as the second-most decorated women's track & field all-American in Cornell history.

Carolan cleared 5 feet, 6 inches on her second attempt before bowing out of the competition at 5-7.25. Only two jumpers went higher than Carolan, who qualified as the No. 9 seed.

Coast Guard's top-seeded Allie Wildsmith was crowned champion (5-10.75) and UW-Stout's Hannah Zastrow took runner-up (5-7.25). Carolan joined Zastrow as the only athletes in the 22-woman field to repeat as outdoor high jump all-Americans from last year.

Centre's Serena McNeilly, Dubuque's Jaden Gatts and Wash U's Ebunoluwa Opata tied for third at 5-6, based on fewer misses than Carolan.

In three NCAA outdoor high jump appearances, Carolan has now placed sixth, fourth and fifth. She finished fourth at the 2023 Indoor Championships.

Carolan closed an outstanding 2025 campaign that featured three Midwest Conference event titles, six all-MWC performances and one school record.
