INDIANOLA – Cornell freshman goalkeeper
Jack Massey recorded a collegiate-best eight saves in Friday's 3-0 setback to Indianola at Buxton Stadium.
Massey and the Cornell defense held the host Storm scoreless through the first half, despite 15 shot attempts by Simpson.
Simpson (3-3-3) finally broke through with an unassisted goal at the 51-minute mark and tacked on two more scores in the final 20 minutes to provide the final margin.
Massey finished with four saves in each half of his complete-game effort. The Storm fired 32 total shots in the contest.
Kyriacos Photiou accounted for Cornell's lone shot attempt.
