PELLA, IA. – Cornell Men's Soccer team traveled to Pella on Wednesday to take on Central College. The Rams battled hard throughout the game, before falling 2-0 at A.N. Kuyper Athletics Complex Soccer Field.
The Rams (2-6) had another strong performance from goalkeeper
Jack Massey, who finished with five saves on 17 shots by the Dutch (4-2-2).
Central found the back of the net at the 40:48 mark in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into half. They added a goal with three seconds left in the game to round out the scoring.
Sam Burmeister had the lone shot on goal for the Rams. Central attempted seven shots on goal to Cornell's one.
Coming up – The Rams start Midwest Conference play Wednesday, October 1 at Ripon. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
