Erin Knowles notched her second consecutive double-double, finishing with 21 points and 12 rebounds as the Rams took down Midwest Conference foe Monmouth, 65-29, Saturday afternoon inside the Small Athletic and Wellness Center..
Cornell junior
Heidi Jorgensen finished with double-digit scoring, netting 12 points. Jorgensen went 4-of-8 behind the three-point line.
Cornell (7-4 overall, 1-2 MWC) out rebounded the Fighting Scots (4-9 overall, 0-4 MWC) 48-32. Knowles with 12 boards led the Rams.
Kallynn Stroup added six rebounds, while Jorgensen and
Kiley Edris each had four.
The Rams had 15 assists on 24 baskets. Knowles had three assists to lead the Rams.

Maya Hodges, Edris,
Maggie Thompson and
Ashlin Nottestad each picked up two assists.
Cornell shot 45.3 percent for game, while their smothering defense held Monmouth to 19 percent shooting. The Rams were 10-of-12 from the free throw line and went 7-of-18 from three-point range.
Coming up – The Rams travel to Appleton, Wis. Wednesday to take on Lawrence (10-2 overall, 3-0 MWC). Game time is 7:30 p.m.
