Cornell women drop road dual against 16th-ranked Simpson

INDIANOLA – Cornell dropped a 47-0 women's wrestling dual to No. 16 nationally-ranked Simpson Saturday night on the road.

The Storm (5-4) took advantage of six forfeit wins and swept the four contested matches.

Simpson recorded 10-0 technical falls at 117 pounds (Layla Phillips over Cheyenne Mulford), 180 (Jenna Joseph over Sidney Zimmerman) and 207 (Savannah Sistad over Hailey Pfab).

Simpson's sixth-ranked Kehrli pinned Olivia Cotton at 160.

Coming up – The Rams compete at the UW-Stevens Point Duals next Saturday, Jan. 10 in Stevens Point, Wis.
