Clark listed in first NCAA regional rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the first time in program history, Cornell women's tennis program is represented in the NCAA Region VII Rankings

Michaela Clark is among the top eight singles players in the region. Clark is 19-5 in singles overall on the season, boasting a 15-2 record at the No. 1 singles spot for the Rams.

Clark was named the MWC Newcomer of the Year and MWC Player of the Year this fall, while also earning All-MWC Singles and Doubles selections. 

The Rams are 22-3 overall and finished 4-2 in MWC play earning the No. 3 seed in the conference playoffs contested on May 2nd. Cornell will wrap up their regular season this Sunday with two matches against Wartburg College and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. 

The NCAA Region VII ranks seven teams, eight singles players plus four in consideration, and six doubles pairs plus two in consideration. In the final edition of the rankings at the end of the season, the top two singles players, and top doubles pair earn automatic bids to the NCAA Singles & Doubles national tournaments.
