ITA Division III Women's College Tennis Rankings
MOUNT VERNON - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released their first computerized rankings of the season on Wednesday, and the Cornell College women were 57th on the Division III national list, which includes the top 75 teams in the country. This is the Rams first appearance in the national rankings since May of 2003 when they finished 40th on the year end list.
Coach
Trent Schneider's Rams are 20-3 in dual matches on the year, and earned a 3rd place finish in the MWC team standings after the fall season.
The Rams have posted strong wins over rival Coe College for the first time since 2004, Augustana (IL) for the first time since 2011, #75 ranked Bryn Mawr College in Florida, and toppled Division II Truman State University.
Cornell is led by the MWC Newcomer & Player of the Year
Michaela Clark, as well as twin sisters and All-MWC singles and doubles selections
Mac Graves and
Tansy Graves.
Audrey Small and
Jenna Benkufsky lead the Rams in singles wins with 20 a piece, while Clark and
Mac Graves pace the team with 19 wins together in doubles.
The Rams return to competition on Thursday April 9th on the road against Loras College at 4:30pm.
