MONMOUTH, Ill. – In the final tune-up before the Midwest Conference Championships, the Rams took part in the Fighting Scots Invitational hosted by Monmouth College on Saturday. The Rams crowned five event champions.
Cornell men's 4x100 relay team of
Dalles Hernandez,
Hadley Beaty,
Jensen Meeker and
Chase Staker claimed first with a school record time of 41.73. The same group held the record of 42.02, that they set last year.
Ike Claussen-Tubbs picked up first in the high jump for the Rams, clearing 6-5. Staker finished first in the 400, with a time of 49.59. Staker finished just ahead of teammate Meeker, who finished second (49.87).
Beaty added a second in the 200, crossing the line with a time of 22.00.
Blaine Dohrmann took second in the 400 hurdles (58.01) and Hernandez rounded out the Rams top three finishers, taking third in the 100 (11.08).
The Rams women's 4x100 team of
Cora Talbert,
Jayda Carnes,
Alexa Hugart and
Ryleigh Storjohann took first with a time of 50.60. Carnes also claimed an individual first in the 400 (59.53).
Senior
Hailey Carolan picked up two second place finishes for the Rams, 100 hurdles (16.31) and high jump (5-4.25).
Zoe Scott crossed second in the 5000 for Cornell with a time of 21:12.53.

Adri Sullivan,
Willow Ziegler,
Annie Quesnell and
Maddie Pestka) each finished second with times of 4:30.97 and 55.40 respectively.
Coming up – The Rams host the Midwest Conference Championships at Van Metre Field at Ash Park on Friday and Saturday. Events start at 12:30 pm on Friday and 10:30 am on Saturday.
