MOUNT VERNON – A young Rams women's soccer team faced a tough Central College team from the American River Conference Friday night at Cornell Soccer Field. Central (2-0) used a strong first half to prevail, 9-0.
Central scored six goals in the first half on 20 shots and added three goals on 21 shots in the second half.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Violet Fiers finished with 13 saves for the Rams on 22 shots on goal by Central.
The Rams (0-2) attempted two shots for game, one each from
Gracie Lambrecht and
Ava Ferencz.
Coming up – The Rams face UW-Whitewater Saturday at Cornell Soccer Field. Game starts at 3:00 p.m.
