Waber, a 2020 graduate of Olivet College, joined Cornell’s football staff in the summer of 2020 as offensive line coach.

Waber played for head coach Dan Pifer at Olivet during a successful 2016 freshman season, when the Comets finished 9-2 overall, claimed the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) championship and qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs.

Waber was a four-year starting offensive lineman at Olivet, earning first team all-MIAA honors as a senior. He helped pave holes for three 1,000-yard rushers during his final two seasons with the Comets.

Waber received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in criminal justice. He was a student assistant coach for Olivet’s football team from January 2020-June 2020.

Waber volunteered as assistant football coach and strength and conditioning coach at Alma High School (2006-19) and Merrill High School (2019) during the summer months while attending Olivet.
