Cook, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, enters his first season on Cornell’s staff as defensive line coach in 2016.

Cook is in his second season playing defensive end for the Quad City Raiders, a minor league football team in Rock Island, Ill.

Cook garnered second team all-state football honors his junior and senior seasons at Richmond Heights (Ohio) High School. He went on to become a four-year starter (2009-12) at NCAA Division II Tiffin (Ohio) University, where he displayed his versatility playing defensive end, linebacker and safety. Cook, a team captain for the Dragons, was named an Academic All-American.

Cook graduated from Tiffin in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in forensic psychology. He is pursuing a master’s in school counseling.

Cook and his wife Alannah reside in Cedar Rapids with their son Zane, 4, and daughter Rae, 2.
