Vieweg, a three-year letterwinner and 2019 team captain for the Rams, joined Cornell’s coaching staff in January 2023.
Vieweg played 42 career games for Cornell (2017-19), graduating No. 2 on the program’s career list with 158 ground balls while also netting 32 goals. The three-time Academic All-Midwest Lacrosse Conference performer was named to the MLC All-Sportsmanship Team and earned the team’s Hard Hat Award in 2019.
As a senior, Vieweg was recipient of Cornell’s Paul Maaske Scholar-Athlete Award for academic achievement. The Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., native earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology. Vieweg was honored with Cornell’s Ray and Margaret Cook Award as the outstanding student in exercise science.
In 2022, Vieweg served as mental performance intern for the Mankato MoonDogs baseball team of the Northwoods League. He was boys’ lacrosse assistant at Palos Verdes High School (2020) and Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (2015-16).
Vieweg is pursuing his master’s in sport, exercise and performance psychology from Minnesota State University.
