Mosquedo Lara, a first-year student at Cornell, begins his initial season with the men’s soccer program as team manager.

Mosquedo Lara played four years at St. Laurence High School, graduating there in 2011. The Burbank, Ill., native then was an assistant coach for four years at St. Laurence, where he also served as the team’s public address announcer.

Mosquedo Lara has officiated soccer matches the past four years, the last two through the Illinois High School Association. He is owner of Freseros FC, an indoor soccer club team based in Chicago, Ill.

Mosqueda Lara is pursuing a major in criminal justice. He is bilingual in Spanish and English.

“I am excited to be working with the men’s soccer program,” Mosquedo Lara said. “Most importantly, it’s a privilege to be a first generation student continuing my education at Cornell.”
