Holyoake a double winner against Hornets

Box Score HILTON HEAD, Sc. - Cornell battled with the Shenandoah Hornets in Monday's 7-2 men's tennis loss at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort in South Carolina.

Edwin Holyoake provided a bright spot for the Rams winning a pair of matches today. Holyoake pulled through in a thrilling singles match defeating Brenton Baugh 4-6, 7-5, 10-8, and also partnered up with August Krahn for an 8-4 victory at the No. 3 doubles spot.

Cornell No. 1 player Alexander Hadler-Strumlauf suffered his first singles loss of the spring break trip to the hands of Shenandoah's Jovan Cirkovic, coming up just short in three sets 4-6, 6-4, 3-6. 
 
The Hornets won the remaining doubles positions and swept the rest of the singles matches to close out the dual match.
 
The Rams conclude their spring break match slate tomorrow at 1pm taking on Randolph College at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort.
