MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Cornell's men's wrestling team fielded a young lineup at Saturday's MSOE Invitational and came away with nine individual placewinners.
Freshman
Gannon Kuhn earned Cornell's highest finish, taking fourth in the 125-pound bracket. Teammate
Jayson Stevens was fifth in the weight class with a 3-1 mark.
At 133,
Dylan Heater and
Gavin Kiger both won two matches and placed fifth and sixth, respectively. The Rams also had two placers at 157 in
AJ Parrish and
Scotty Scheidecker, both tying for fifth.
The Rams received sixth-place showings from
Christian Diaz (141),
Austin Wilkins (184) and
Landen Schemmel (197).
Cornell scored 58 points for fifth place in the 12-team field. Augsburg won with 176 points.
Coming up – The No. 24 nationally-ranked Rams host No. 6 Loras at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Small Athletic and Wellness Center.
