Box Score WEST DES MOINES - Cornell's men's tennis team kicked off their fall 2024 competition slate with a neutral site matchup in West Des Moines against Buena Vista University. The Rams shut down the Beavers 6-1.

Drew Campbell, followed suit with a 6-4 win of their own at no. 2. Rouding out the doubles sweep was junior

Sam Cumicek, recording a 6-3 win at no. 3.
The Rams kept the momentum going in singles play on Saturday afternoon, securing victories in five of the six singles matches. Devore, Ong, Campbell and Cumicek had straight set wins at nos. 1,2,4,5 respectively. Arnold notched a super tiebreak win at no. 3 to put the final point on the board for Cornell.
Evan Davis at no. 6, narrowly fell in a tightly contested match, 6-3, 7-6(4).
Both Campbell and Cumicek picked up their first pair of collegiate victories in a Rams uniform this afternoon.
Coming up – The Rams host the Cornell Invitational tomorrow, Sunday September 15th, welcoming Central College, Loras College and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. First serve is set for 10am.
