MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Freshman
Truman Folkers placed third in the 133-pound division to head Cornell's performances at the MSOE Invitational Saturday.
The team leader in wins this season, Folkers (14-5) turned in a strong 4-1 day as the No. 3 seed in his bracket. Folkers bounced back from an 11-4 semifinal loss – decided in the first tiebreaker – and posted two consolation wins, including a 4-2 decision over Steven Tech's Dominic Marinilli for third.
Folkers recorded a pin (4:25) and technical fall (19-4) in the first two rounds.
The Rams received sixth-place efforts from freshman
Gage Samo (125 pounds) and sophomores
Josue Hernandez (174) and Danny DeCristofaro (184).
